    Get ready for an afternoon of literary finds and creative fun! The Friends of the Kittitas Gilmour Memorial Library are excited to host our First Annual Fall Book Sale and Pumpkin Painting event! October 11th from 1-4 pm. Located on 207 N. Main!

    Let the kiddos have fun painting a pumpkin while you shop for books. These make great Christmas presents. All kinds of books!

    The City of Kittitas will host their annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 3-5pm on Main Street, Kittitas WA

    The haunted house promises to be extra scary, and there will also be a Harvest festival!

  • Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show & Burnouts – Aug 16th, 2025

    The 21st Annual Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show & Burnouts will be right here in Downtown Kittitas on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Enjoy a full day of classic cars, high-octane burnouts, local vendors, and community fun—right on Main Street!

    This exciting event is hosted by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.

  • Summer Reading – 2025

    Today was the last day of Summer Reading at the Kittitas Gilmour Memorial Library. The children listened to a story, crafted bag puppets, and enjoyed snow cones. Head over to our gallery to check out some of the fun that was had! Our group was larger this year from last and we hope to continue to grow.

    Thank you to all our volunteers, we couldn’t do this without you!

  • What is Washington Anytime Library?

    Are you aware that our local Kittitas Gilmour Memorial Library supports the Washington Anytime Library?

    This is a wonderful online and free resource for anyone in WA state with a library card. You can enjoy access to books, ebooks, music, movies, and TV shows that you can borrow, download, or stream. You can get a library card for free from our library, hours are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday 12-5pm at 207 N. Main St., City Hall

    Meet law enforcement partners, community groups, fire department, and connect with the community!

    What we do:

    Friends provide support for the Summer Library Programs, which help keep children engaged in reading and learning during the summer through enjoyable activities and celebrations.

    We are researching new experiences:

    Friends support is crucial for providing resources for programs suitable for all ages, and their contributions also help fund talented presenters and performers. Their support genuinely makes these excellent opportunities possible for everyone involved.
